Guest guest
Did you tolerate old armour? (Just curious) There is a compounded german one...have you tried that? You'd need a prescription though - would it be possible to get one? Chris > > Erfa has now been added to the can't tolerate pile! I thought at first that it was a supplement but it's definitely Erfa fillers which are making me itch all over. Armour makes me feel awful and Naturethroid isn't much better. I guess I'm left with Thiroyd or Thyroid S but I don't hear of many people on these. Help appreciated as I'm running out of options. Thx >
Guest guest
We have a load of our members who taking nothing other than Thyroid-s or the Mexican 'Thiroyd' (correct spelling) and as far as I am aware, most people tolerate these very well. All you can do is to try the experiment . Check what the ingredients are in the Erfa Thyroid and what they were in the Armour Thyroid and see what fillers are duplicated - that way, you will have a pretty good guess at what is causing the itching. Luv - Sheila Erfa has now been added to the can't tolerate pile! I thought at first that it was a supplement but it's definitely Erfa fillers which are making me itch all over. Guest guest
Hi Yes i was absolutely fine on old Armour, my problems have only began with reformulation although it took me a while to realise it. I cannot get a prescription at the moment but my next step is to ask my GP to refer to Dr Skinner if i can't resolve this by myself. I've heard NP Thyroid by Acella is really good but again you need prescription. > > >
Guest guest
did it make any difference how you took the erfa, ie sublingual or crushing it and swallowing it? have you any idea what you are intolerant too in the tablets? i tried acella, i didn't get any intolerance from it (I am very sensitive to fillers), but then they stopped selling it at international pharmacy. i am doing ok on erfa though. it does sound like acella might help you, or the compounded german one which sounds very pure... here are the ingredients of various NDTs, it may help narrow it down what you may be intolerant to? http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/armour-vs-other-brands chris > > > > Hi > > Yes i was absolutely fine on old Armour, my problems have only began with reformulation although it took me a while to realise it. Guest guest
Hi I have been on Thiroyd since about March and it has been really good for me - although saying that I was on Naturethroid for a while and that was good for me too. I suppose the only thing to do is to try them- at least you can get a small amount of Thiroyd and you dont have to pay any customs etc. on it. Thiroyd was recommended to me by someone on TPA - it works and it is much cheaper too! I think there are quite a few people on it. Good luck. I found the Greater Pharma was even better than old Armour, I spent a while on that before deciding T3 only worked best for me, I felt weird on the new formulation, a crazy mix of hyper and hypo. Guest guest
Hi, I too was fine on old armour but felt awful on new and erfa - altho not easy to figure out as unwell anyway. It's v annoying as I could actually get nhs prescriptions for these which I realise is very lucky. But, now I've had to go back to one reccommended by a private Belgium doctor - it's by receptura and contains only olive oil as a filler. Would need prescription though I imagine. I wonder if this is the german brand people have suggested? I was really hoping to tolerate a version I could get hol of easily in uk and on nhs but with these at least I know for sure there are no fillers making my situation worse. I'm not sure why I can't get these ones on nhs prescription aswell , but think only certain brands are on the list? Sorry can't help more. I think if you can go private once just to grt a prescription. Carly Sent from my iPod
