I am absolutely furious at the closing of this forum, I have already complained

and hope others will do the same. It is an outrage for all the reasons already

pointed out and then some.

Refusing to discuss contested protocols does not help patients...

I guess the majority needed a days rest after all the strenuous

work they have been put to in responding to all the messages they have been

inundated with. Hope they feel more up to it tomorrow and will start

working with us.

Where is this information to be found Helen?

Someone has pointed out on the STTM forum, that

the Online Clinic is sponsored by Thyroscreen, who do TSH tests. Bit of a

vested interest, isn't it? I think we should complain on that point (among

others).

http://www.nhs.uk/choiceintheNHS/Rightsandpledges/complaints/Pages/NHScomplaints.aspx

We could also complain that they have managed the Q & A very badly, some of

the experts have not (or barely) put in an appearance, it has spent a

significant amount of time closed, and the answers given are largely inadequate

and ignoring some of the most pertinent and important questions. Refusing to

discuss contested protocols does not help patients...

Yes, you are right! Thyroscreen AND the BTF. Links here... http://www.personaldiagnostics.co.uk/Products/ThyroScreen/About_Hypothyroidism.html and

http://www.btf-thyroid.org/index.php?option=com_content & view=article & id=211 & Itemid=272They've shut it down COMPLETELY... one cannot even read the posts. I imagine that there must be something going on behind the scenes for them to do that. It shut down suddenly after Dr Kerbel's responses but at least we still had access.LoveJacquie>> Someone has pointed out on the STTM forum, that the Online Clinic is sponsored by Thyroscreen, who do TSH tests. Sheila, if you click on their Twitter link

https://twitter.com/talkhealth and click on some of their links on their timeline, you will find most of Talkhealth's tweets direct you to Thyrocreen. Sorry, I should have given you the 'Meet Our Sponsor' page link:

http://www.talkhealthpartnership.com/nhs_choices/Online_clinic_thyroid_disorders\

..php

I can still see the Hypothyroidism board:

http://talkhealthpartnership.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=185

However, if I click the link for the forum as a whole, I get a page with a

message stating 'To view or post in this forum you must enter its password.' So

it seems that the page has not been pulled but the link to it from the NHS

talkhealth pages has been - or something like that. I can't even navigate back

to the other thyroid topics, only the hypothyroid one that I happen to have the

URL for.

What on earth is going on, I wonder? I will *definitely* be submitting a

complaint, I reckon the more of us that do, the better.
