Guest guest
You can use your prescription when ordering Erfa from www.valuepharmaceuticals.com - no matter where it came from, so long as it was issued by a doctor Adam. Good luck. Luv - Sheila I live in London and have a prescription for Erfa Thyroid 30 mg, 100 tablets. My doctor is based in Brussels. Are there any local pharmacies that can fulfil this prescription or do I have to order from abroad? Thanks. Adam No virus found in this message. Guest guest
Hi Sheila, Value Pharmaceuticals sell only in 500 tablet quantity (http://www.valuepharmaceuticals.com/Armour-Thyroid.php). My prescription is for 100 tablets. It look like Value Pharmaceuticals is based in the USA. As they are outside the EU, wouldn't this mean that I will also have to pay Customs Duty and Import VAT, thus pushing up the price? Is the any cheap EU based pharmacies where I can order from to avoid these importing taxes? The Value Pharmaceuticals website says that Erfa Thyroid is just another name for Armour Thyroid (http://www.valuepharmaceuticals.com/Armour-Thyroid.php). Does this mean that when I order Erfa Thyroid they will just send me Armour Thyroid instead? You can use your prescription when ordering Erfa from www.valuepharmaceuticals.com - no matter where it came from, so long as it was issued by a doctor Adam. Guest guest
Thanks Lilian, This has cleared up some confusion I had. I asked at my Local Boots yesterday, but they told me that they do not serve Erfa Thyroid. After that, I assumed that this would be the same for other UK pharmacies. I may try some other local pharmacies. Thanks. AdamWe have had Boots charging double or even treble the price another chemist would charge. It is called Erfa by everyone to differentiate between Forests Armour, and Erfa Armour.Lilian
Guest guest
http://thyroid.erfa.net/ - you can order it that way, or just make contact with Dr Bignon at Pharmacy Du Orange, i have her email address..It's about 10E for postage. or have you tried contacting her and won't they accept a fax? chris > > Thanks Lilian, > This has cleared up some confusion I had. > I asked at my Local Boots yesterday, but they told me that they do not > serve Erfa Thyroid. Guest guest
You do all know you can get Porchine Thyroid Extract from a Health Shop in Bristol UK on-line - they do the importing bit and you can order it one day and have it with you by City Link the next. I found that out off this site some time ago by someone in Austrailia that had got it direct from Nutri Meds in America and thought it was wonderful. However, The Natural Choice Website in Bristol actually buy in from Nutri Meds. It dosen't need a prescription, because unlike Armour etc which have the amounts of hormone in it measured, this is just crushed whole desicated thyroid and can be sold as a supplement, but I'll tell you now - it has exactly the same affect as Armour on me. The only problem is one tablet = 130mg and it is a gelatine bullet capsule with crushed powder in so you can't split them. Has anyone else tried this? Sarh J > > Boots are talking rubbish. Guest guest
Is this the website you mean? http://www.the-natural-choice.co.uk/Glandular-Support.html So far as I know, for most people thyroid glandular extract doesn't at all have the same effect as dessicated thyroid such as Armour or Erfa. Certainly it did nothing for me. Guest guest
Hi Miriam Have you looked at all the thyroid/ glanular support as you mention " thyropid glandular extract " , but did you see the " porcine thyroid extract " . It must come from a pig's thyroid, so is it processed in a different way to ARMOUR OR ERFA. Could this be one for Sheila. Guest guest
Boots certainly do get Erfa!!! During the panic a year or two back at christmas when Armour was unavailable me and my sister went on to Erfa and Boots got it (eventually). We used to get our Armour from there too but they messed us about so much and refused to give us our tablets till we had a letter from the endo to say what Armour was for (as if it wasn't written on the script!!) We had to get them to fax his secretary and get a letter each!! PLUS they used to short - change us, our endo writes a prescription for 3 months supply and they were dispensing 84 tablets, as everyone knows there are at least 90 days in 3 months (excepting when February is included). A couple of months ago I asked at the Lloyds were I get my other meds from and they said no problem. ** No letter required ** Dispensed within a week ** ALWAYS at least 90 tablets!! **Ordered the day I take the script in. Won't be going to Boots again.... > > I asked at my Local Boots yesterday, but they told me that they do not serve > > Erfa Thyroid. Guest guest
Yes, that's the one. Guest guest
Hi Adam I'm not sure if you have a private prescription, but if you do then you can deal directly with Pharmarama who are specialists in Unlicensed Medicines: http://www.pharmarama.com/products/services-1.asp You just email them through the contact us form with the details of the prescription and they will email you back with a price per tablet, you then have to post the original prescription to them and once they receive it they will contact you by phone for your payment details. It may seem a bit long winded, but the turnaround was really quite quick - I found their service to be really good and the price they gave me compared to my local pharmacy was really good (obviously nowhere near as good as Value Pharmaceuticals before they needed a prescription!). Hope this helps. Best wishes, Kerry x > Are there any local pharmacies that can fulfil this prescription or
Guest guest
This is straight from the Valuepharmaceuticals webite at http://www.valuepharmaceuticals.com/Armour-Thyroid.phpThey say:"Why is it called Erfa Thyroid (Canadian brand)? The discount Armour Thyroid supplied through the Value Pharmaceuticals network is called Erfa Thyroid (Canadian brand), but this is not because it is generic (copy) product! Erfa Thyroid (Canadian brand) is the same medicine sold in the USA as Armour Thyroid and in all the other major pharmaceutical markets around the world. "Why are they saying that the Erfa Thyroid they sell is the same as Armour Thyroid? Adam You can use your prescription when ordering Erfa from www.valuepharmaceuticals.com - no matter where it came from, so long as it was issued by a doctor Adam. Good luck.Sheila
Guest guest
is naturethroid a lot better than erfa for most people. i hesitate to switch again because you have to take it on an empty stomach away from food and supps. and chew it well and take enzymes with it. i have a lot of muscle and joint pain and val said she and others had it with the erfa. is this common or would it be the need for a higher dose or more t3 or t3 only. > > > This is straight from the Valuepharmaceuticals webite at > http://www.valuepharmaceuticals.com/Armour-Thyroid.php > <http://www.valuepharmaceuticals.com/Armour-Thyroid.php> > They say: > " Why is it called Erfa Thyroid (Canadian brand)? > The discount Armour Thyroid supplied through the Value Pharmaceuticals > network is called Erfa Thyroid (Canadian brand), but this is not because > it is generic (copy) product!
