HI ALL

I informed my GP that T4 was causing my BP to rise which was not good for the

kidneys or heart, which he agreed with. I enquired as if BOOTS eventually obtain

my prescription that I did not want to waste it, so advised not to collect the

prescription.

He mentioned doing some more tests, but my feelings are that if FREE T3 is not

tested it is not worth hasving Thyroid tests, and will stand my ground.

I enquired it there was anything else I should be taking, and the answer was NO

until I mentioned IRON.I have however taken note on articles on Iron on this

forum, as I am concerned about the constipating effect of Iron, so have ordered

the SOLGAR VEGETARIAN IRON tonight.

I would decline an NHS presciption for Iron, as it has caused me problems in the

past.

You MUST ensure you are taking a fairly high dose of vitamin C

Kathleen, e.g. 3/4000mcgs when taking any form of iron. Also remember not to

take iron at least four hours away from any thyroid hormone replacement.
