Guest guest
Try cutting out all wheat/grain and perhaps get some good quality digestive enzymes. If possible you could always try having your main meal in the middle of the day rather than in the evening. Today I've had my big meal at around 4pm and a snack since, the meal hasn't gone anywhere and I am now hugely bloated, uncomfortable and short of breath. I do tend to overeat but I eat vastly less than I used to - yet the bloating and digestion is worse than ever. > > I take HCl and now bromelain as well, I've stopped drinking tea as this used to be a trigger for bloating but not drinking it has made no difference at all now. Guest guest
Hi there Niki For years I had really severe problems with my digestion, to the point where I was disabled with it. I don't know if it will be of any help to you but I stopped the problems by cutting out lactose completely. This stopped the dreadful digestive problems. I also follow a strict low carb diet which helps with the bloating. It took me a lifetime to work out that lactose was causing me so much pain - different for everyone I know but these two things really helped me. Guest guest
Hi Niki I get the bloating and slow digestion thing occasionally (I used to get it a lot). When it's bad, especially at night, I use Honeygar. You can get it from Holland and Barrett, health shops and some supermarkets. It's cider vinegar and honey. It increases acid levels in the stomach, and therefore encourages the stomach to empty. It doesn't aid digestion as such, but can relieve symptoms of bloating and reflux. It works for me, so it's worth a try. Because it's acidic it also helps improve bile flow, which in turn aids digestion. You might also like to look at a website I found which explains the link between the liver, bile and digestion. This as helped me a lot, as my gut is notoriously slow and can give me problems from time to time. Www.gallbladderattack.com The title's a bit dramatic, but its info covers all aspects of liver and bile production, not just gallbladder probs. May be useful? Hope this helps. Good luck. Guest guest
Have you tried going gluten free. Gluten causes terrific bloating and once you stop taking gluten, the results can be truly amazing. Luv - Sheila I take HCl and now bromelain as well, I've stopped drinking tea as this used to be a trigger for bloating but not drinking it has made no difference at all now. Is there anything else I can try? Niki No virus found in this message.
