Guest guest
Hello everyone today I went to my endo. T4 is 23, T3 is 6.2. So my T4 is high, and he wants me to drop from 200 to 175 micrograms of T4. I am reluctant, as there are no symptoms to suggest I am overmedicated. So, I am trying to think of ways I can fiddle my next blood test so they will leave me alone.I remember a while ago finding a graph online where you could enter your doses and it would work out how long before the levels plateaued. it was called projected dose changes. Stupidly I did not save it, only added it to favourites and now the link won't work. Does anyone know where I can find this now? thank you in advance. Guest guest
Your high level of free T4 does appear to show that you are likely over-medicated. How long ago did the increase to 200mcgs take place? Please don't try to 'fiddle' your blood test results, this can cause all sorts of problems should anything go wrong with your health in other ways, and they give you a thyroid function test at that time and it doesn't marry up with 'previous' results. Nobody should ever do this, as it can have dangerous consequences. Please listen to your endocrinologist and be guided by him at the moment. If you find symptoms returning on 175 mcgs T4, then you can both look into the reason for this alter. Luv - Sheila today I went to my endo. T4 is 23, T3 is 6.2.
