HI

My GP wants me to have T4 at 50mcg as well as taking T3 (Mexican). I have tried

twice now taking the T4 at 25mcg, and each time it causes my BP to rise (higher

than is good). High BP is not good for ones kidneys.

The same thing happened when I was on Pimozide for 14 years. I was not diagnosed

with Hypothyroidism until already on that drug. Over the years T4 was increased

up to 150mcg and so did my BP rise and as a result was put on Amlodipine and

Lisinopril. My weight went up and up in turn causing incontinence and finally

breast cancer.

I do not want to fall out with my GP, but I do not want him damaging my kidneys.

Can anyone offer advice.

Kathleen
