Hi ,Thank you so much.  I submitted the post again with the following included this time:Last year I was taken into hospital twice within 5 weeks, (once by ambulance) vomiting, seriously ill, couldn't walk at all, severely dehydrated and I felt I was barely conscious.  I was given IVs and rehydrated and admitted.  The next day they did endoscopies but didn't really find anything except bacteria (glad I didn't have more ulcers though!!)  However, they are lovely to me there as my husband works in the operating theatre in hospital (thankfully!!!!!) but they scratch their heads and tell me I'm a mystery.  I've often wondered if I had 's.  Also, I've gotten extremely dehydrated without either vomiting or having diarrhea.

I'll go read the link you gave me & appreciate your help.

Kindest Regards,

Hi Noreen,

I just looked at your initial post again, the one with all the lab results – but from the info given I can't see why you would suspect 's.

Oh gees, I'm so sorry, I didn't answer half of your mail, sorry. These were the results I got back in October:

Sodium(136 - 145)

145.00

Potassium

(3.7 - 4.8)

4.40

Chloride

(98 - 107)

109*

Creatinine

(44 - 84)

72.00

Magnesium

(0.66 - 1.07)

0.84

I went down to 7 st. 9 lbs last year, am about 8 st. now.  I eat like a horse but don't eat too much rubbish, eat some but not an awful lot.  A dietician was sent down to me and she told me to eat more biscuits, chocolate, icecream, cream etc.  With the amount I eat, I think I should be approx. 9 st. or more.  Also there's nothing over my tailbone except skin, which is why the dietician was sent to see me.  It's still the same, even though I've managed to put up about 5 lbs in the last 5 months.

I'm not on HRT but think I'll be put on oestrogen patches soon.Sorry for the number of replies.Noreen xOn 30 January 2012 15:19, Noreen <noreenmur@...> wrote:

Hi ,

Thank you for replying and let me say you were very articulate for somebody who was 'half-cut' LOL

I was *very* surprised at my a.m. plasma cortisol level as I rarely can get out of bed in the mornings, so was expecting it

to be low. I had a DHEAS test done a few months ago and the result was

1.6 with a range of 0.89 -5.75. The professor prescribed DHEA. I

read somewhere that adrenals should be

sorted before starting thyroid meds but he prescribed both at the same time. He did mention my pituitary but

I don't know what he said about it. He also said, depending on the plasma

cortisol results, he may order urine UFC.

I also thought there was a

problem with my adrenals as I can never have an anaesthetic

if it has adrenaline in it. For instance, if I'm going to a

dentist, I have to tell him *no* adrenaline and very little ether. I really appreciate your reply, , as my

head is wrecked trying to figure all out.

It was very good of you to think of me & to reply. Hope you slept well & that your head is okay

this morning :-)

Kindest Regards and best wishes,

Noreen.
