Guest guest
Hi Sheila & All,Sheila i was wondering if you had looked at my Thyroid test results. To answer the question about high Cortisol no i have no difficulty getting to sleep at night, but have to say i don't go to sleep until about 1pm, the reason for this is my husband is a bachshift worker he comes in about midnight and i am usualy awake, this goes back to when i was very ill and my sleep habits all over the place they would say i was the night stalker. Now i just think it's habit that suit's us. In the morning i think things are normal i awake about 8ish and feel relitivly OK as one can feel in this situation. This time of the year i seem to sleep a bit later, but come the spring i am up a bit earlier. Sheila, i feel as if i'am going full circle. starting to feel a bit better then those B y tests say hyper My hair was starting to improve, not that anyone would notice, but i could feel wee tufts in my scalp, now it's shedding very bad again, this had all but stopped.(stopped when i came of Thyroxine or was it just that i was on 7 & half grains?) I cut down to 7grains on the first of Jan and as i said it's going down the drain again. The other symptoms have improved as well, nails and indigestion, stiffness, I still can't go up stairs for my heart thumping, and yet my heart is beating at 44/ 54 beats per min, I can feel it struggle and this has got worse this week, it misses beat or beats that are very weak. Think i will just have to go back up again and ignore the tests. can you comment on the antibody number's Luv Connelly. PS still have noise in my ear, fingers bad, memory terrible etc.
Guest guest
I have just had a look at your test results , and they are extremely high. Tell me, on the day you did the tests, did you take your normal daily dosage of thyroid hormone that morning, or had you stopped your thyroid hormone the day before? If you took your thyroid drugs on the day of the test, this would account for the very high levels of fT4 and fT3. TSH is expected to be suppressed for those taking any form of T3. Your antibody levels are both very high. Are you taking Selenium 200mcgs daily. I will send these results on to Dr Peatfield and to Dr Skinner to see what they make of them, but any doctor seeing such results would automatically assume that you are now hyperthyroid and that your thyroid medication should be cut down drastically. I will let you know what he says. Try taking 500mgs Magnesium Citrate for your palpitations and see if that helps. Guest guest
Sorry! B12 range is 180-914 pg/ml. It's only the second B12 test she's agreed to give me, the last was 199pg/ml a year ago. I have a very good friend with B12 deficiency and he said then that it was low, his tests ranges were 200-900 pg/ml but she wouldn't listen then There is a very good chapter in STTM about adrenals, apparently the high range indicates that my adrenal gland is overcompensating. It certainly explains how I've been feeling lately! It will be interesting to speak to the Dr on Monday. I've ordered a saliva test kit too. Thanks again for the help, Lu > > Always show the reference range whenever you give us test results Lu so we > can see whether they are at the bottom, the middle, the top or even outside > of the reference range.
