Guest guest
Your frustration with endocrinologists may stem from an interpretation of evidence-based medicine. A researcher may decide to use only the best evidence, such as was done by the authors of a study of clinical studies that " proved " T3 was ineffective. In this way, they did NOT consider 98% of the available evidence including all of the discoveries of post (after) thyroid functions, of peripheral conversion (T4 to T3), peripheral cellular hormone reception of T3, and intracellular use of T3. It is quite amazing that these authors threw out good work and concentrated on bad science and its over-interpretation of results. T3 is not ineffective as these authors claim. However, in the special case that they investigated, it may appear to be ineffective. However T3 is the most active thyroid related hormones. Just how is it universally ineffective?
