Guest guest
Probably because they were getting some rather embarrassing comments from people wondering what the so called 'Thyroid Experts' were doing and why they are not answering questions. They are also getting too many questions. They are overwhelmed!!! I was about to respond to say that the so called 'Thyroid Experts' realise that we out here, who are not medically qualified, know a lot more about our problems than they give us credit for, and they are having to tread so carefully, they have probably decided they would be safer saying nothing. Admin has responded by saying…. " Just to reiterate questions are not being ignored. Our experts are giving their time freely in their spare time and the number of questions is over whelming. They are doing their very best to answer as many questions a possible. " If that is their best - heaven help each and every one of us. Surely they should note that there is a very, very serious problem for those suffering symptoms of hypothyroidism and that investigations should be made into why this is. Please, please, please - for those of you who want to ask a question, do so as soon as they open the forum again tomorrow morning (if they dare) and let's break all their records of questions being asked. Somebody, somewhere has got to ask the question WHY - WHY WHY is there such a demand for all these questions to be answered. There have been apparently over 400 questions asked in this thyroid clinic, and the majority are about the diagnosis and treatment of hypothyroidism. Lilian, here is the link to go to http://www.talkhealthpartnership.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=123 On the page that opens, click on the particular section your question is most appropriate - the majority are posting under 'Hypothyroidism' but check out the different sections. The forum at the moment is LOCKED so you cannot go to any of the sections and post a message. Below are the different sections and you will see that so far, since Wednesday, as far as I can make out, there have been 1472 posts - but most of the responses have come from patients and very few from the Thyroid Expert Team. I think probably Professor Lazarus has answered the most, some experts not at all - their silence is deafening - and the answers that have been given are so predictable as to be completely useless to the majority of us. I'm going to bed to have some sweet dreams. Guest guest
It says its open for me, but every post is actually still locked. I would like to post to dr kebel and say thank him for being honest, but it sucks that it takes somebody to either expierence hypothyroidism or somebody close related to them before they actually take things serious and actually try to udnerstand hypothroidsm. It shouldnt be like this and every doctor and especially endos should share the same interest. Guest guest
Hi Sheila, will the questions and answers be saved and put on th files for us to check through in our own time? I wonder if they might disappear before I get chance to read through them all. I have asked some questions but cannot easily find them again and see if they are answered. I wonder if they are deleting some of the questions? love janet
