Some help with adrenal support

Hi,

I am seeking some advice on adrenal support. I have been taking NAX - 4 tabs

daily since Sept 2011, recently though I have found that I am getting a little

fragile emotionally again, crying when the kids get cross or argue etc. I feel

that the NAX isn't enough now. I tried increasing the dose to 5 or 6 tabs but

it caused diarrhea and as I am already taking lots of supplements which are

causing 'looseness' any further liquification is undesirable if not downright

dangerous!

I read in the files section that Ashwagandha can be good and as I have some -

actually it is Shatavari and Ashwagandha formula, and I am menopausal - I have

started taking it 1000mg twice daily. I also take 1.5 grains armour and

30-40mcg T3 daily and my temperature is creeping slowly back towards 36 and

above. So, I feel that my thyroid is good and hypo symptoms are falling away

but I am left with some nervy symptoms.

I also take Vit C, mag taurate, D3, b complex, b12, flax seed oil, iron.

I suppose I am asking whether there is something else I should look at or

whether the ashwagandha will help. An article I saw in the files mentioned, I

think that's what it meant, that NAX supports the adrenals but doesn't enable

them to rest in order to heal and I wonder whether I need something which does

that.

Any suggestions gratefully received.

Hello - L-Theanine, is natural & very good for mood. You can Google - 'benefits

of L-Theanine' very informative articles on it - not sure if I am allowed to

mention a brand - as new to this group.

I have taken Ashwagandha and in good quality liquid herbal form is good for

energy.

Yes, you can recommend good brands that you have found

beneficial.

Hi Judy, thanks very much. I got some theanine today and it seems to be doing

the trick - there are suggestions that it's good for high blood pressure and

mine is higher than ideal so possibly it will help in a number of ways.

Again thanks for your suggestion and for taking the time to reply - I appreciate

it very much.
