Guest guest
Hi to all I'm due to see my endo in a couple of weeks and will be having a blood test a few days before. I plan on stopping my statin for one week before (I'm wary of a low false reading for my tsh) and I will not take the levothyroxine that morning. My endo just wants to get my tsh below 4 and, obviously I know this is not low enough. I'm worried he'll say my results are where he wants them and leave me on a 25 mg dose. How do I convince him otherwise? I've been on this dose for nearly two months now and can describe how much clearer my thinking is. I feel as though the fluffy haze behind my eyes has gone. It's fantastic. I still have a low temperature, hair loss, cold feet and lethargy with no drive etc so would not be happy staying on the lower dose. I recently discovered that my gran had part of her thyroid removed and two of my cousins are both hypothyroid so I shall tell him that when I see him. My mum, and other relatives, are type 2 diabetic but my endo brushed that aside as though there was no connection with thyroid. I had my thyroid checked a couple of weeks ago whilst on holiday in India and below are the results. How do they look? Any advice on how to convince endo to up my dose would be appreciated.
