Guest guest
But, I've never been one of those people whose pulse and temp can really help determin things. Classically a low pulse and low temp means increase your meds. But bizarly I can find my pulse and temp drops when in more medication ( dessicated thyroid). And vice versa so doesn't help. Have you taken your temperature according to Dr Rind's Metabolic Temperature Graph, which is a method for measuring and interpreting daily temperatures to gain insight into metabolic energy issues associated with both adrenal and thyroid function. To get a brief understanding of Dr. Rind’s approach towards identifying and correcting metabolic energy problems read his overview on Metabolic Therapy. http://www.drrind.com/therapies/metabolic-temperature-graph. You should find answers there. So ATM feel worse and bit anxious and achey tired - but get this when levels too much and too little!! Perhaps it does just take time to balance out and I should leave and aim to increase again? You say you know about adrenals and need for specific vits. and mins. to be right, but have you actually been tested to see the levels of cortisol and DHEA with a 24 hour salivary adrenal profile. Also, have you asked your GP to do the following tests to see whether any are low in the reference range - iron, transferrin saturation%, ferritin, vitamin B12, vitamin D3, magnesium, folate, copper and zinc? Guest guest
Hi shelia- yep had tests and supplement accordingly. Keep records of temps too. Still wonder if we need to get past a point where are own thyroids are attemping to produce hormone? Perhaps it's better past this point as less fluctuation? At the moment I'm more hypo from increasing my meds. Could be need more? - could be perhaps adrenals struggling more with increase? But I also have gd symps from the increase - skin better, stronger in some ways, periods btr etc. Even when I was on tiny amounts of thyroid my pulse and temp could go high - perhaps due to building toxicity in blood and adrenalin- but still confusing? Just be good to hear from anyone else similar??? Thanks Carly Sent from my iPod
Guest guest
Hi Carly, We spoke before about Vitamin A; did you try that in it's active form? Chris
Guest guest
Hi chris Yes but only very recently. Gp didn't test so taking some anyway. I think I should cut back on vit d and other fish oils so I don't get too much of anything? Thanks Sent from my iPod
Guest guest
I don't know the answer to be honest, but it's not a good idea to have too much of anything - the body stores these nutrients, so if it were me i think i'd cut back too but it all depends on what your'e taking and how long you've been taking it for Are you taking the preformed vitamin A, such as the douglas labs version i think i mentioned before? if you've tried beta carotene and it hasn't helped i think it might be an idea to try something different. doesn't surprise me about the gp and tests. :-( chris > > Hi chris > Yes but only very recently.
