Guest guest
Hi, it is now about 6 weeks since I stopped the thyroxine and I now just take T3 - about 37 mcgs a day - taking the first dose of 12.5 at about 3-4am as per the Circadian method, which I think does help as I seem to wake up about 6.45am feeling better than I did. But the other thing which I am not sure about is whether it has had a positive effect in my weight. I was so fragile in keeping any weight off if I ate a little more one day I would just put some of the 2-3 lbs back on. But last week - I had weighed in at 10 stone 12 - which is fab to see 10 on the scales again - but with work stress etc I ate quite badly - as in 3 bars of choccy on the way home, a large baguette another day and at the pictures I ate 2 scoops of ice cream -- anyway - you get the picture - and I weighed yesterday telling myself that I was going to be 11 stone 2 ish - and I was still 10 stone 12!!! So maybe my metabolism is responding more favourably to just the T3 and the T4 had been making it sluggish? However - back to good work on reducing my weight this week as I am aim for the 10 stone 5 which is where I was before I put on the 2.5 stone in 7 months about 3 yrs ago!!!
