Holiday Insurance - not taking statins

Hi all. My Mum has just restarted Dr P's protocol for low thyroid and adrenal

reserve and has stopped taking the statins her GP had prescribed (cholesterol

over 8). She is trying to get travel insurance for an upcoming holiday but the

quotes she has been given are extortionate (because she is not taking the

prescribed statins). I am sure they will not consider the treatment she is

taking as relevant. Does anyone have any suggestions? Many thanks.
