Guest guest
hey, I was wondering if anyone here has successfully lost weight. I've always had too many pounds even tho most of my life I've eaten very healthy and quite small amounts. Whatever I've tried, nothing have helped. A few years back a nutrishion made up a diet for me and everything, but didn't help a bit. Any tips? I have very limited strength, so not much I can do exercise-vice. Thanks for any help! Guest guest
Misty - I have problems with weight too, especially after having my kids. I've managed over the last year or so to very slowly lose some of my middle by doing the Weight Watchers dieting program. I also avoid " empty " calories (things with lots of calories or fat but not much nutritional value), overly processed foods (like white bread or white rice), and fried foods. I wish I could exercise, but I too have very limited strength. I try to remember to contract and relax the muscles I do have periodically during the day but there aren't many of them! Trying to lose weight with SMA is a very frustrating experience because it is so slow! And even if I lost a lot of weight I'd still kind of look fat because of my residual scoliosis. > hey, > > I was wondering if anyone here has successfully lost weight. Guest guest
Hi You may want to join the TPA non thyroid related chat group and see what weight loss protocol members are discussing. Its called the Chattery and one of the moderators will send you an invitation if you havent already received one. Guest guest
Can I suggest you take the discussion about losing weight over to the chat forum, as although we all have this problem because it is a thyroid symptom, you will find that people are discussing weight and specific diets over there. Lilian What a question - I would like to see some answers too!
