Taking T3

I finally saw Dr. P. last week and he immediately confirmed what I have

suspected for quite some time now - I'm not converting T4 to T3, which is why

some of my symptoms had returned. So he's suggested taking one Erfa plus

12.5mcg T3 in the morning for two weeks, then adding another 12.5mcg T3 in the

afternoon and cutting down the Erfa to half. The good news is that I found T3

available here from my pharmacy so don't have to order it online.

He said my adrenal support (20mg HC plus two Thorne adrenal cortex) was good,

and as soon as we see how the T3 goes (and if it works), I should be able to

start gradually cutting down the HC.

I forgot to ask him a couple of things so am hoping you'll be able to tell me -

should I continue L-tyrosine supplementation?

What works for joint pain? I have pain only in my thumb joints just where the

thumb joins onto the hand and wondered what I can take for that? I won't take

the rubbish my doctor dishes out so prefer something more natural.

Should hypothyroid people take L-glutamine and Taurine or not? I'm vegetarian so

wondered if I could do with more of the amino acids I don't get from other

sources.

Also is anyone here with adrenal fatigue taking or has taken Seriphos and did

you find any improvements? This would be for my son who has adrenal fatigue but

is not on thyroid medication yet.

thanks and best wishes
