Guest guest
Use openoffice -it's free http://www.openoffice.org/ (it's free software made to be compatible with Word, excel etc - i use it all the time ...) chris > > Hello everyone > > I have recently joined the forum and am looking through the files etc. However I don't have word on my laptop and so am unable to open them properly. At the moment I save them and then open with wordpad. However when doing this the text has lots of symbols top and bottom and if there are studies/references etc in the text symbols can also be dotted in the middle making it a bit difficult to read and print out (I am hoping to print out some things for my GP). >
Guest guest
There's also LibreOffice, another free alternative. I don't have MS Office either and use NeoOffice (Mac version of OpenOffice) and LibreOffice, which I prefer, NeoOffice having become a bit glitchy for me. > > Use openoffice -it's free > > http://www.openoffice.org/
