Guest guest
I HAVE EDITED OUT THE DOCTORS NAME AS IT IS NOT PERMITTED TO PUT DOCTORS NAMES ON THE FORUM WITHOUT THEIR SPECIFIC PERMISSION. Moderator Dear all, you may recall I posted a while ago saying I was seeing a Dr B at Telford for my thyroid whilst pregnant and he was not keen on Armour and said he had no knowledge and would not be able to help me. Well sure enough my T4 results have come back as low. Free T4 10.8 (range 11-23) Free T3 5.4 (range 3.5-6.5) I have called the hopsital today to ask what he wants me to do and he has said that there is no action as I am taking enough Armour!! He seems terrified by the surpressed TSH. I just wondered if anyone had any thoughts as I know low T4 an be a risk in pregnancy and I am also feeling shattered. I have also been diagnosed with gestational diabetes which I am controlling with diet quite well atm but I can't help wondering if my low T4 is contributing to this. I suggested to his assistant that I supplement with a low dose Thyroxine but they dont seem to like the idea...so I am now at a loss. I am nervous to increase my Armour as I don't want my T3 to go too high. Any help at this scary time would be so much appreciated. thank and Happy New Year to you all.
