Guest guest
Hi Steve,I can't remember if you're still taking Florinef? If so, could it be low potassium that's causing the headaches?I don't know if you remember, I had the same problem a while ago with a couple of real stinker headaches.(also very shivery). Once I started K Dur, the headaches stopped.I did take nurofen - also cocodamol - and it didn't affect my cortisol levels - but as they're pretty terrible anyway, that might not mean much :)Hope you get it sorted. All the best, Alison>> So im in a bit of a cache 22. I keep getting headaches on a daily basis which i think are in some way related to low cortisol or atleast adrenal related.

I keep getting headaches on a daily basis which i think are in some way related to low cortisol or atleast adrenal related.> What do people take for headaches or what would you reccomend? paracetemol do not clear headaches for me which is why i have always used ibuprofen/neurofen. You could try Magnesium Citrate about 500 mg+ , Steve. In this interview below Dr. Myhill recommends Magnesium for migraine type headaches.... but it might work for other headaches too. She talks about all sorts of subjects, which is extremely interesting anyway - her mention of Magnesium, if I recall it correctly, is right at the end....- you'd have to get in there with Mag at the first sign of a headache....http://picasaweb.google.com/supportdrmyhill/videos#5473706453049169202 Also remember, Steve, that Ibuprofen and any NSAIDs as well as paracetamol will destroy the natural intestinal flora in the same way that steroids do - so if you take any of that stuff always remember to follow up with probiotics. Whatever V. says about the use of probiotics not being necessary, I do not believe it. Best wishes,
Guest guest
Hi im already taking 1600mg of Chelated Magnesium a day at the minute im guessing that would be the same as magnesium citrate ? While i do not agree with everything sarah V says i must admit probiotics have never given me and benefit what soever in the last 6 years, but ive spent a ton of money Steve > > So im in a bit of a cache 22. Guest guest
You know what i have actually stopped taking k-dur now that i have stopped florinef but you could be onto something i will give it a try on the weekend and see if it helps. My cortisol levels are on the very edge, on a good day i am fine but if i mess up a T3 dose or i eat some food which causes my body alot of stress i can feel the low cortisol symptoms ! Guest guest
How was it when you stopped florinef? Did you get any adverse side effects, Steve? Just interested as I'd like to be able to drop down at some stage (not yet as I've been having a bit of a rough time recently health wise - crashed adrenals in Dec trying to do a bit too much).Alternatives to potassium supplements might be avocadoes - also haricot beans (both high in potassium). I did very well on avocadoes for a while! :)Good luck, Alison>> You know what i have actually stopped taking k-dur now that i have stopped florinef but you could be onto something i will
Guest guest
Hi Steve, I definitely get headaches when I'm low on cortisol, and the only thing that helps is taking hydrocortisone. That is, fixing the source of the problem, not just the symptoms. Nausea usually accompanies these headaches, so I wouldn't be able to keep painkillers down, especially ibuprofen which irritates the stomach. Barb L. 's, hypothyroid > > So im in a bit of a cache 22. Guest guest
I would prefer to get my early morning dosing correct instead of HC. As hc is lowering my immune system and my body is struggling even more so with he candida then. I can see when i am not on hc my immune system is stronger as my lymth nodes swell up and also the coating on my tongue isnt as bad. Hmmm sucks Steve > > Hi Steve, > > I definitely get headaches when I'm low on cortisol, and the only thing that helps is taking hydrocortisone. Guest guest
I was able to stop following the method paul uses in his book of the early morning T3 dosing. Things are ok but the candida is making my body need alot of cortisol so im still trying to balance things out atm which is a bit tricky. Are you on T3 at all? Guest guest
Hi Steve It's worth reading the Wiki ~ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ibuprofen ..... As with other NSAIDs, ibuprofen may be useful in the treatment of severe orthostatic hypotension (low blood pressure when standing up).[50] In some studies, ibuprofen showed superior results compared to a placebo in the prophylaxis of Alzheimer's disease, when given in low doses over a long time.[51] Further studies are needed to confirm the results before ibuprofen can be recommended for this indication. Guest guest
Hi Steve, What meds do you take and what supplements as I was very ill with low thyroid low cortisol (bordering on s) and other hormones and yet had all the symptoms you are having when I wasn’t any of the aforegoing. There may be something you are doing or overdoing that is causing you these symptoms. Be interested to know Regards Mandy
Guest guest
Its the Candida which is putting so much stress on my body making me need 70mg of HC when im on adrenal support. So when im doing the early morning T3 dosing my adrenals are needed to produce 70mg of cortisol plus all the other hormones on a daily basis which is alot of stress and way above normal. I have my ACTH short synac and aldesterone/renin on the 20th of Feb so i need to stay off adrenal support until then regardless. Anti fungals dont work, probiotics dont work. Leufnuron worked but didnt clear it and now its back with avengance. When on early morning dosing and no adrenal support i can tell my body is fighting the candida as my lymth nodes enlarge and the coating on my tongue eases up. But if i have a bad day or eat the wrong food it can mess me up for a few days and there is extra stress on my body. Its a thin line at the moment and the cold weather is not helping either. Ideally if i want to get well i could do with living in a hot country on early morning T3 dosing but this doesnt seem like it can happen due to finances! Best i can do is a holiday in may for two weeks! Guest guest
Hi there, my headaches are the candida, but last year i to thought it must be my adrenals, that is be for i suspected it was the candida.hope this helps you. their could possibly be other reasons for them.! Angel. who has started the caps for candida today.nystatin..)
Guest guest
Hi Steve,Yes, I'm on 50 T3. But I'd be very reluctant to follow 's method as it would mean stopping HC and I just daren't do that. It's my adrenals that are the main problem - they really are in a terrible state. I was doing so well last autumn and I've now gone right back (not as ill as I was without HC) but still in bed most of the day.Dr P said that they're just not able to use the HC properly. So all I can do is rest and hope that helps.Alison>> I was able to stop following the method paul uses in his book of the early morning T3 dosing.
