Guest guest
There is another aspect of this copyright case that has not been explored - damages. In order to have a case, there has to be damages. What are the damages? They are planning on putting the whole forum up on another site, a public site shortly. Anybody can access it, presumably. That suggests that these copyright owners are giving it away for free. So just what are the damages of copying a small portion of something that is free? Hence there is no real case on top of the fair use notion which is in UK law. Have a great day,
Guest guest
HI ERIC You have hit on it, as copyright is all about copying somebody elses work and then selling it to make money IE-Copying of a singers CD ad then selling copies, and to even use their music as background music on a film/video you have to obtain a license to produce so many. When I make my Video's I use copyright free music that comes with a license to use as background music, and these CD's do cost more, but what you cannot do with them is to simply copy their CD to sell. Guest guest
Many thanks Kathleen. Received the CD with the questions and answers re the online Thyroid Clinic. Will go through them when I have finished working on the BIG letter. You should be able to get the rules of Talkhealth by going to their web site. Must now get back to work!
