Guest guest
I was diagnosed with graves disease last year after suffering with various symptoms for about 3 years. My blood results when first diagnosed were: TSH 0.02 T4 40 (9.0 - 28.0) T3 16 (0.0 - 7.7) After being treated with ptu for about 4 months I stopped taking it because I felt so unwell. I had a blood test 2 months after stopping and my results were: TSH 0.01 T4 14.9 (9.0 - 28.0) T3 4.8 (0.0 - 7.7) My Doctor tells me I am now stable and need no further treatment but I have insisted on having blood tests every 6-8 weeks because I am still having symptoms of hair loss, brittle nails, sweating, palpitations and blurred vision. My most recent blood test was December 2011 and my results were: TSH 0.01 T4 13.4 (9.0 - 28.0) T3 4.0 0.0 - 7.7) Does my last blood result seem low? I am still having symptoms and during Christmas I came out in an itchy rash (hives) which lasted for about a week. I do wonder if I am going underactive so I am going for another blood test the end of this week. Any advice would be very much appreciated. Many thanks, Pippa
