Guest guest
I have read and been learning SO much on this forum. Thank you to those on the TPA who give out so much knowledge and help to us who are walking through thyroid issues. Before my question I have found a great idea for making sure I have my tablets (T3) with me at all times as I have been in a situation where I have left them at home or just not had them with me. I googled and found Amazon sell a small barrel style tablet container on a keyring... this has been so good for me as where I go my keys goes with me! My question is, I started with Levothyroxine (ugh!)felt so ill and found I had adrenal fatigue also. I first went to see Dr P October 2010 and went on Nutrithyroid, NAX (5 a day) as well as other nutrients D3, B12 and CoQ10. I wanted to try NDT so went onto Erfa but that did not work for me so Dr P suggested T3 last November (2011)which I am following the circadian protocol (by my own choice) I have been able to stop NAX and have been feeling much better and gradually increasing the T3 dose as well as making the timing earlier. I am only up to 35mcg (10 mcg 0430, 10 mcg 0830, 10 mcg 1200md and 5 mcg 1700hrs). This week I increased by 5 mcg at 0430am for 3 days but found I was feeling hot and not quite right (had similar with Erfa) so have now gone back from 40mcg to 35mcg. I had saliva and thyroid bloods done August 2010 Genova Labs) but very little since, what tests would you suggest I would need as being the most important at the moment? Iron? RT3? T?hyroid update In 2010 my TPO was 159 (range 0-35 Iu/mL) does this mean I could have hashimotos? Hope this is clear and will be happy to send any more info I may have left out. With grateful thanks Pam
