Guest guest
I would talk to your GP about this Debbie as it does look as if you are becoming hypothyroid and perhaps you need to stop the Carbimazole altogether, especially if you are beginning to feel the symptoms and showing any signs of hypothyroidism. Your TSH remains suppressed when you are suffering with hyperthyroidism because the pituitary recognises there is sufficient thyroid hormone in the blood, so it doesn't have to prompt the thyroid into secreting any more thyroid hormone as it does when somebody is severely hypothyroid. When you are hyperthyroid, the TSH is suppressed and there are high levels of free T4 and free T3 in the blood. When you are hypothyroid, the TSH is raised, and the fT4 and fT3 are low ion the range.
