Guest guest
Hi Sheila thanks for advice on taking far too much B12 I will stop taking it now,It was very low in a blood test result and I started a high dose and kept taking it,you obviously know what some GPS are like mine's refused to give me folic acid because my test is in the reference range I could have cried when I was refused, some doctor's dont care about their patients a good doctor is hard to find these days,I find it very depressing and that is why I try to avoid going to see them because mentally I cant deal with their uncaring attitude I've been sitting in his room gasping for breath and they give me a prescription for an antibiotic and an inhaler I'm 53 never had an inhaler in my life dont smoke dont drink desperate to keep good health so I can enjoy life,I'm starting to rant now, feeling sorry for myself, I forgot to post my magnesium blood test result it is, 1.03 normal range is 0.70-1.00. You said my transferrin is low 2.3 normal range 2.0-4 could you explain what transferrin is, this is something I know nothing about. Thanks to everyone on this website, without it I would be very ill as I once was before I found it,gratitude is my daily thought. Guest guest
Unfortunately Kathy, we are finding more and more that the majority of doctors really DO believe that if their patients test results are ANYWHERE within a reference interval, then they don't have a problem. Never once do they attempt to do that little bit of research to find out whether that particular test should be at the bottom, the middle or the top of the range. They will only say that you have a problem if your result is either outside the bottom or outside the top of the range. This is another thing we have to teach our doctors. Always remember that a doctor/patient relationship is a two way partnership. As far as your breathing problems are concerned, read this article written by Dr Lowe and if you feel this fits you to a 'T' show it to your GP 'Air Hunger to Death' Breathing Problems of Hypothyroid Patients' http://www.drlowe.com/jcl/comentry/breathingproblems.htm I have answered your question about transferrin in a previous message by giving you a link for labsonline, where you can type in whatever test you want to know about and find the answers yourself. It is always helpful to know these little tips in case you need to find out about more later. As they say, give a man a fish and he'll live for a day, teach a man to fish, and he'll live forever. Luv - Sheila I cant deal with their uncaring attitude I've been sitting in his room gasping for breath and they give me a prescription for an antibiotic and an inhaler I'm 53 never had an inhaler in my life dont smoke dont drink desperate to keep good health so I can enjoy life,I'm starting to rant now, feeling sorry for myself, I forgot to post my magnesium blood test result it is, 1.03 normal range is 0.70-1.00.
