Guest guest
HI I have started to get soreness in the corners of the mouth. At one time it was diagnosed as a yeast infection, but it could be due to a vitamin deficiency. Any ideas on which deficiency might be the cause in thyroid patients would be of help. Having ruled out the Gentle Iron as a cause of my rash I could now resume taking that, but across the Internet vitamin B12 and B6 have been said to be a cause if deficient. I have just started the B12. They are not coldsores. Kathleen

They said to use vasaline. The yeast infection was THRUSH.With the ankle eczema caused by bad circulation I have been told not to put any more cream on, but when I mentioned if it would help by using vibration to help the circulation,
Guest guest
You can't spread a virus if you don't have a virus. From: M <jenmear@...>thyroid treatment Sent: Tuesday, February 14, 2012 4:54 PMSubject: Re: Advice on sore corners of the mouth needed Just a word of caution incase you did not already know. Zovirax is a specific Anti Viral treatment and cold sores are Viruses. I don't know how it affects other sores that are not viruses but if you have used it to treat a cold sore you could pass the virus onto a non cold sore area if you are using the same tube... Guest guest
Cream (moisturising) is going to keep the area from getting too dry and cracking where infections can come in and turn to ulcers. Nothing to do with curing it. In fact I do not think there is a cure. Kathleen > > Hi Kathleen, > I get these too from time to time. I use Zovirax cream on them and they clear up in a couple of days. Of course, it may not be the same thing. Mine are not coldsores either, but the Zovirax is a great relief. I can't help you with the cause though. I haven't been able to establish a pattern about when or why they appear. > > >
Guest guest
What I said was, if you have used it on a cold sore (which is caused by a virus) then you can spread it onto a non virally infected area (an ordinary sore) This is a message to others not just yourself as I don't know your circumstances but have to post generally. These mouth sores are normally caused by lack of B vitamins. B12 is a catalyst that helps Iron to get utilized in the blood, without enough B12 you get anaemic. Hence Iron deficiency Anaemia...I digress... Re: Advice on sore corners of the mouth needed You can't spread a virus if you don't have a virus. Guest guest
To my knowledge I always thought this was a sign of anaemia
Guest guest
I have a little pot of lip balm into which I mix a couple of drops of Citricidal grapefruit seed oil(anti bacterial), as I presumed it was caused by candida. This works a treat for me. Lynne > > > I have started to get soreness in the corners of the mouth. At one time it was diagnosed as a yeast infection, but it could be due to a vitamin deficiency.
