Guest guest
So im in a bit of a cache 22. I keep getting headaches on a daily basis which i think are in some way related to low cortisol or atleast adrenal related. Now this last week ive been taking ibuprofen for the headaches, and sometimes after taking the ibuprofen i have then expierenced low cortisol symptoms.... i didnt really think anything of it. But today i got the usual headache then i took ibuprofen and now BOOM low cortisol symptoms. I've been doing some research online and there is some discussion about it but nothing set in stone there does there could be a few possible reasons why taking ibuprofen could make your body porduce less cortisol. Two main reasons being 1, ibuprofen acts as a anti inflammatory so actually reduces the need for your bodys cortisol due to being less stress and less inflammatory. 2, Another being that the ibuprofen works in the same way as cortisol would and binds to the cell receptors in effect cancelling the cortisol. Now does anybody have any more iformation on this ? What do people take for headaches or what would you reccomend? paracetemol do not clear headaches for me which is why i have always used ibuprofen/neurofen.
