Guest guest Posted January 22, 2012 Report Share Posted January 22, 2012 We are all different Adam, and what works best for one doesn't necessarily mean that works for everybody. You might have to show around, but certainly, there are a large number who are using Erfa Thyroid and finding that it works fine for them. it's a case of 'suck it and see' in this case. Forest Pharmaceuticals changed the formula for Armour thyroid about 3 years ago, and it went downhill with a lot of people. The manufacturers removed some of the dextrose and added in more cellulose which had a bad effect on some folk. You used to be able to take the original Armour sublingually, so it got directly into the blood stream, the addition of more cellulose made this impossible, so it has to be chomped up in the mouth and swallowed using plenty of water. However, some people love it. For somebody starting natural desiccated porcine thyroid extract for the first time though, I would recommend the Erfa 'Thyroid' Luv - Sheil I am due to start Erfa Thyroid treatment soon? I wouldn't bother with Armour personally I would try erfa thyroid and see if helps before assuming it won't and looking for an alternative??
