Guest guest
Couldn't be that the battery is getting low. Lilian For the last two nights my BP monitor has refused to give me a reading and just keeps erroring. I have even tried laying down to take it. It gives a reading first time in the morning. Any idea what would cause this. The Sister at the surgery had also has the
Guest guest
Lilian I will try and change the batteries to see if that is the problem, but I cannot understand why its at night and OK in the mornings and the fact that the Sister at the surgery had problems. Guest guest
Hi, sometimes one of my blood pressure monitors have given error readings because I suffer with arrhythmia and maybe when the BP is low and/or pulse slow in combination with an irregular heartbeat then the machine plays up. The monitor I use now doesn't do this but it is only a cheap one like the other one that used to play me up. Of course if your heartbeat is perfectly rhythmic then this piece of info. is useless to you. The older type of sphygmomanometer works better but they are not used very often now. Guest guest
HI Batteries are OK, as I have a tester. Mine is a BOOTS make arm cuff, and is the same type as the Sister was using only a different make. A manual pulse was 96 last night. Normally I do get a reading after a few attempts when it plays up, but I have had too many errors the last two nights. My feelings are that there is a problem with me that causes the errors, and I think the Sister did as well, but I am seeing the GP on Monday. I also think the problem with the nostril oozing blood is tied in with it.On one occasion a lady Doctor with the type they use also had problems and she evenbanged on the end of hers, but whether she did get a reading I don't know as all I got was thats OK.
