Guest guest
Sheila, Thankyou. I am beginning to understand this problem & the emotions that go with this territory. Today I received the result of Thyroid Hormones 24 hour urine. I started crying before I had finished reading it. At last I think I have evidence! I had started to doubt myself. Please check this for me:- Triiodothyronine (T3) 364 (low) (ref 592-1850 pomp/24h) Thyroxine (T4) 856 (ref 347-1994) T3:T4 ratio 0.4 (low) (ref 0.5-2.0) I also have raised antibodies on the total thyroid screen. Is there two problems going on here? Is it worth putting these results here too or not (the blood results). Today has been a red letter day for me. I have been even more emotional than ever, the thought that I have a problem that could be helped, also angry that I could have been helped years ago!! For the first time I have felt free to admit I've had a problem & felt rotten instead of struggling pretending everything is fine! I have appt with GP on Monday to show her results, this time I don't feel timid - I am mad! Please tell me I have interpreted this correctly! If so, if I can get T3 (?), what is the usual time to feel better? Sheila, I have to say THANK YOU again, you put so much time into this & I am grateful. x > > I can see no problem in you starting the DHEA before your endocrinologists > appointment.
