T3 testing and the NHS

My GP has now tried twice to get my T3 level tested to no avail.

My question is - who tells laboratory staff to ignore such a request, who has

given this directive and how is it that some patients can get a result.

Who do I aim my frustration at?

I am seeing a locum GP at present, she knows all about T3, prescribes it and

listens to the patients symptoms and not just looks at the TFT results. She is

German and says this is how it is in Germany.

Wow, cannot believe my luck. She has in the meantime suggested homeopathy and I

am in the middle of this. Thyroxine does what it says on the tin so my

hypothyroidism is well controlled. BUT I have an allergic type reaction to it

and I am having to take 10mg of Prednisolone at present. This cannot go on so

if the homeopathy is not successful I will try changing to T3.

Any views on homeopathy?
