Hi Hayley and welcome.

I am quite new to the forum as well, so wouldn't pressume to give any advice at

present,so can only offer support.

i was ill for 10 years before diagnosis, with such an incredible amount of

symptoms that it put a big hole in my relationship, which has never totally

mended.

I have been on t4 for a few years but am just beginning my journey to change to

NDT.

The people on this forum are so very helpfull and will, I'm sure answer all of

your questions about treatment. I live in Somerset and don't think there is an

issue with saying where you are, just obviously not too much detail.

Take care

Sue

and i have 3 lovely children and a (kind of) supportive partner!have been ill

for 22 YEARS.Yup thats right. And you guessed it not one single nhs doc up until

now has been able to tell me what it is (although some of them have tried and so

i've laboured under the mis-diagnoses of M.E for many years)

Welcome Hayley

I hope you find the help you need here.

It does sound like you have many thyroid symptoms. Have you considered how you

are going to proceed ?

best regards,

Chris

Hi Hayley,

I used Genova for the 24hr Adrenal Saliva Test. TPA members get a discount. See

the Genova discounts file:

thyroid treatment/files/DISCOUNTS%20ON\

%20SUPPLEMENTS%20and%20TESTS/

as it explains how to order to ensure the discounted rate is received.

HI, and welcome. your symptoms shout hypothyroid, but you need to get a TPOab test from the doctor. this test is to look for auto-antibodies.they see the thyroid and attack it by mistake. this is the usual reason for being hypo. doctor`s don`t usually do this test as it is much more expensive, they prefer to wait until the TSH (pituitary ) hormone is over 5.0 in the belief that this is a normal range but it is not it is a reference interval, and as such means

that if the TSH is over this range you are hypo. but anyone on this group will tell you that any thing over 1.5 is likely to be hypo.you will also need the free`s done that is FT4 and FT3. angel.
