Guest guest
I take synthetic insulin (never seen an animal although it is called animal insulin) and that is supposed to increase the risk of cancer. Lilian is there a greater number of people who develop cancer of some sort from taking NDT considering it is from an animal which may carry cancer cells in its body. i heard this from someone. do not know if it is true. are there any statistics on this.? Guest guest
There won't be any such statistics as there will be too many variables. Developing cancer is a possibility for anyone in the population. The likelihood of doing so will be affected by many aspects of life, some of which will obviously increase your risk e.g. smoking, where you live e.g. Cornwall, heavy drinker, number of ionising medical procedures etc. And then of course there is simply your genetic susceptibility. You do not 'catch' cancer though. So just because the pig may have cancer cells in its body doesn't mean they are in NDT or that they will cause the patient receiving NDT to get cancer. The only way a medication would contribute to the likelihood of getting cancer would be if it contained carcinogens and none of the ingredients in NDT match that description. It sounds to me like someone is trying to scare you for no reason :-/.
