Guest guest
http://helpmeinvestigate.com/health/2012/02/16/how-does-the-general-medical-council-work/ I received the above link from Rita Pal. If you have not yet written to the GMC in support of Dr Gordon Skinner, who has been called before the GMC next Wednesday 22nd February 2012 at extremely short notice, please do so. We need as many letters of support as possible. Please note that the case is case number C1-462487326 and all letters should go to email: IOPTeam@.... Please also send a copy to afshan@... . If you can possibly get to the GMC at Manchester to attend this hearing at 9.00a.m. on Wednesday, please let me know. The more people there to show their support, the better. From: SheilaT <sheila@...> thyroid treatment Sent: Tuesday, 21 February 2012, 15:33 Subject: Dr Skinner and the GMC TO ALL MEMBERS If you are attending Dr Skinbner's Interim Order's Panel tomorrow (Wednesday 22nd) in Manchester, please, please, please will you take notes and try to capture exactly what is said and pass these on to Afshin [afshin@...}. Afshin will be taking notes also, but can't do everything. Also, pleaase take note of the five doctors who have made these complaints against Dr Skinner and see if you can find out any information about them. Get as much ionformation i.e. full names, addresses, hospitals, surgeries, qualifications etc etc. These could be gone in a flash and are likely to only be referred to once. So watch out for these. We need to find what Societies, Organisations these particular doctors belong to and their connections with endocrinologists who are known to be against doctors diagnosing and prescribing outside of the RCP statements. We believe very strongly that there could be an incestuous relationship between these endocrinologists and these specific GP's. I hope that as many of you as possible will do everything you can to attend this Hearing, starting at 9.30a.m. Sheila www.tpa-uk.org.uk No virus found in this message. Guest guest
However, tempting, I think this would carry some sort of serious sanction - I mean SERIOUS - for anyone doing such a thing; especially where there is ANY legal standing to the proceedings. Not even fully sure about notetaking if you are not part of the team of the person under investigation or someone bringing an action/involved in the proceedings?? Once entering this kind of world... VERY BEST TO DR S! > > I don't know who is going but it might be a good idea for some bright spark to sneak in a dictaphone and quietly record it. If I were there that is what I would do! >

Guest guest
Dear SheilaThis was a shock to read. I'd rather taken my eye off the ball what with looking after my elderly parents, and thought that Dr Skinner was now in the clear. So they didn't take it lying down, is that it?Is there any point asking the GMC for a transcript of the meeting?ThanksBelindaOn 21 Feb 2012, at 15:33, SheilaT wrote: TO ALL MEMBERSIf you are attending Dr Skinbner's Interim Order's Panel tomorrow (Wednesday 22nd) in Manchester, please, please, please will you take notes and try to capture exactly what is said and pass these on to Afshin [afshin@...}. Guest guest
I know that Afshin has a copy of the Determination, but it takes about 3 weeks to get a copy of the transcript, even if the Hearing only lasted half a day, but I too would be interested in reading the exchange between the two Barristers. I will see what I can do. Luv - Sheila Dear Sheila This was a shock to read.
