Guest guest
I've talked to a few people with cervical dystonia before...often seems liked to chiari. My dad used to work in special schools, so I'm quite used to learning disabilities and autism. I can imagine how hard it must be on you. I find the chronic pain to be my worst symptom. I think if they made the distinction in England they'd probably diagnose FM rather than CFS. Its interesting how many different types of pain there is... Anyway, I hope to talk to you more soon. Love and hugs + Blessings to you and yours Re: Introduction Welcome ! What a nice introduction!! I am Lee, a single mom with 2 teen boys (one autistic, one learning disabled). Guest guest
Hi , I like your website. It has a lot of good information which is well organized and presented in a way that easy to understand. Have you checked out Ken's CFS site at www.folkarts.com ? It is awfully good too and I think you'll like it. Bonnie B

Guest guest
Hi Nerys, The docs are rather lax when it comes to looking after me and my mum. I saw a neuro recently who was rather nasty to us both. I tend to get rather nervous of docs now...don't want any more pain. We look after each other and my dad works very hard to support us. I get so upset at myself putting that strain on him. He has so much to deal with. Mind you, sounds like you have your hands full too. How is your husband doing? Is he on any meds for the thyroid condition? Oh, and *hugs* back at you ;o) I live in Surrey...little town called Egham...most people have never heard of it ;o) Anyway, you have a really good day and enjoy your xmas....I still have hours to wait ( Take care and I hope to talk to you soon. Love and hugs and marry Ho Ho Ho's to you all ;o) Re: Introduction Hi Welcome to our crazy group, I am Nerys I live in Australia and care for my hubby. Guest guest
That is really good news that you have an egroup for practice nurses. I have spent the last five years on practice nurse development which is slow but growing. Often practice nurses are isolated and confined because of the way they are employed but I would be happy to pass on information for other practice nurses who would be interested to share information and ideas with other practice nurses in our area and who have access to the Internet. Guest guest
Welcome Maresah. We have found the egroup very useful for discussing specific issues too: we collated a response to the consultation on the new nursing and midwifery council 'on line'. I wondered why we had suddenly got a small spurt of new members and should have registered that SENATE was mentioned on the RCN R & D bulletin. We have a bit of catching up to do though; we have only 93 against your 200, having started in March last year. Not that it is any kind of competition: we just enjoy generally swapping news and information, occasionally having some quite interesting and thoughtful debates. Would be pleased to hear from the other 'new recruits' about their interests. Best wishes Haines wrote: > Hi > I have just found out about your discussion group through the RCN Research & > Development bulletin. Practice nurses working in your area can then get in touch. You are right about practice nurses often being isolated and confined because of their employment.and also having little or no management support. I think that is why the e mail list has been such a lifeline. Nurses have changed practice because of information they have gained from one another. The exciting thing has been the amount of innovation and enthusiasm that is out there. Guest guest
Dear Maresah, In our two, embryonic local PCTs we hope to investigate the integration of school nursing expertise (and opportunites in schoolchildren for the early detection of problems) with surgery-based Primary Care activities. Do any of your members have experience of looking at the interface between practice nurses and school nurses involved with the same families ? Guest guest
My latest project is making natural parfum and eau de toilettes. There is a lot to learn in that arena. I hope to share my knowledge and learn from all of you. JoAnne Dear JoAnne: Hi! My interests also encompass essential oil perfumery. There is so much to learn that I have read it takes a mimimum of SEVEN years to be an adequate perfumier! I love to learn, and I hope we can share many ideas and become friends. I am interested in hearing more about your company, also. You must be very proud, and rightfully so. I look forward to your postings, and wish you the best of luck in all you do. Usually if someone post that they will be in the chat room at a certain time and date, others will come. Saturday late night seems to be a good time for many. Anyway, welcome and you will find this list extremely resourceful and supportive for any concerns you have with and even your other family members!! There is also a sibling group that may enjoy..my 13 year old daughter will be on another chat site tonight talking to sibs from this list. Hopefully, Tina will post a reminder about the sib chat. (HINT HINT TINA!!). The sibling chats are safe..an adult is nearby to intervene if need be.
