Guest guest
Ok, so I've been on Thiroyd for 2 weeks today. I've done one week at half a grain AM, and the past week at half a grain AM and PM (PM being early afternoon, 1pm-ish). I do feel better - not much, but better and more able, which is always useful, especially as I suddenly find myself doing dog behavioural consults again which would ordinarily sap my energy! Anyhoo, I've been reading through the using guide again and I have a couple of questions. 1) Is the 3 weeks at half a grain AM and PM essential, or could I up the dose sooner? I've had no adverse effects from it over the past fortnight at all, and feel I could safely go higher but of course, I'm a total newbie at this! I don't want to go too fast and muck it up. 2) I understand the reasoning behind the hour-before or 3-hours-after meals - I have the same rule to follow with my dog for his T4 and T3 - but does it still apply as I'm taking it sublingually? I'm struggling with the timing of everything as my mealtimes are a bit random with the new work. I thought about doing the same schedule as Remy but he has his afternoon lot at 4pm, which works best for him but is too late for me. Thanks, Niki
Guest guest
Just a bump and an add-on to the first question. On Tuesday my 3 weeks at the 1 grain dose will be up and I'll go to 1.5 grains. BUT - my fatigue has returned a fair bit this week, I'm struggling with the dog walks again which is upsetting me and them! Should I stick it out for the full 3 weeks or up the dose tomorrow? Guest guest
stick it out with the full 3 weeks, I personally don't think it's a good idea to 'cut corners'..... I started on 2 grains 9 days ago and I can ALREADY tell I have to go up!!! but I will stick it out for the full 3 weeks none the less. Your body has to have the time to do things 'right', we have to be 'patient', it will not do anyone any favours to jump ahead and anyway, how many years have we put up with the fatigue/cold/etc? a few more days won't break the bank I keep telling myself heeee heeee xxx take care > > Just a bump and an add-on to the first question. > > On Tuesday my 3 weeks at the 1 grain dose will be up and I'll go to 1.5 grains.
