Guest guest
The President of the British Thyroid Association has changed. See http://www.british-thyroid-association.org/. Seems Professor Jayne lyn didn't last very long. Also, I see that Dr Amit Allahabadia has been demoted to 'Assistant Secretary' from his previous office of 'Secretary' and Dr Jackie Gilbert is the new Secretary. Current Officers of the British Thyroid Association President: Professor Graham Imperial College, London Secretary: Dr Jackie Gilbert Kings College Hospital, London e-mail: jackiegilbert@... Assistant Secretary: Dr Amit Allahabadia Sheffield Committee: Dr Salman Razvi (Gateshead) (Treasurer) Prof McCabe (Birmingham) Prof Simon Pearce (Newcastle) Dr Duncan Bassett (London) Dr Bijay Vaidya (Exeter) I see that they still have on their web site that warning notice that makes them look totally ridiculous: Warning! There are a number of websites with unhelpful and inaccurate information about thyroid disease which should be ignored. Our links are for recognised patient support and information sites recommended by the BTA. The BTA is the only national professional organisation in the UK composed of research doctors and consultants who are accredited by having completed higher professional training in thyroid and other endocrine diseases.
