Doing adrenal saliva test with a cold?

Hi everyone,

I'm about to embark on the 'Comprehensive adrenal stress profile'(saliva test)

through Genova (ordered it this morning) BUT i'm at the tail-end of a lousy

chesty cold that i've had for 10 whole days now! I'm guessing i need to wait

till i'm over it before doing the test,what do you think ?......

Also,when i get the results is there someone who could help me figure them out

as i'm sure i will be completely boggled by it all?

Same here! Ordered it today and wondering who can help me work out what I need

to to do. have an appt with Dr P in may and currently under Dr S. Good luck

with the test!!!

No, you will be fine doing this test. Remember that is an

adrenal STRESS profile as you want to know how your adrenals are coping when

stressed. Some people make the mistake of doing the test say on a Sunday, when

they are doing nothing other than sitting in their armchair reading their

Sunday Papers, which is wrong.

Once you get the results back, post them on the forum together

with the reference range and we will help with their interpretation.
