Guest guest
hi there Welcome to the forum Have they excluded cushing's syndrome? just concerned because you mention your face - one of the symptoms of cushing's is a swollen moon face. > I KNOW something is not right. They try to say it's because I have M.E. and don't get any exercise, but I've had M.E. for 23 years and never put on 3 stone before or had a face like a moon etc!! Have they excluded all other conditions and deficiencies? I understand they should only diagnose ME after *everything* has been excluded? (I may be wrong though) > I don't really understand the intricacies of the body's thyroid system, but I'm wondering if, because my tsh is " normal " , could it be that it's not being used properly by my body or something? Is this where T3 comes in? It could be many things - you may not have enough, you may not be using it properly, deficiencies, etc etc. > 5 months ago GP did test - > > TSH 1.8 > > Free T4 10.8 (no T3) > Do you have the lab test range for these results? They do look low. > so my levels are dropping. > > If you have any advice or could point me towards something which would help me understand better I'd be very grateful. I am housebound because of M.E. and vertigo (dizziness, loss of balance) so any online sources, or Dr's who do phone consultations etc would be very much appreciated. Can you do this questionnaire and see what your symptoms match? http://blog.saravanan.org/?p=40 - click edit and you can fill it all in. it's important to see what clues the symptoms give us. chris
