Guest guest
does taking a lymphocyte panel really help. it is an expensive test that the insurance does not pay for. when you get the results , no dr. knows what to do with it anyhow. can someone tell me if this is worth it when you have hashi's or better to get the TPO even though it varies , you can still know how the autoimmune is going at that time. my dr.s just want the TPO test. iron, is RT3 important. they take a lot of blood and it is expensive to keep getting the whole nine yards every 6 weeks. iron, FT3, FT4, and adrenals i think are most important. what do you think. also, does anyone know if thyrogold from a cow is any good and how does it convert with 1 grain of erfa? are the results the same or variable because it is not as standardized? thanks so much. Guest guest
Dear Barbara What particular reason have you to be considering taking a lymphocyte panel? It does appear hugely complicated. If you want to check whether you have antibodies too your thyroid, your GP will do the simply test to check if you have TPO and TgAb antibodies. Only you will know what tests you can and cannot afford, but at this stage, there does seem to be many tests we need to find out what is happening to our body until we find the course of treatment that works best, and after that time, you will probably be advised to get your thyroid levels tested every 6 months to a year. Testing to find whether your levels of iron are low in the range is important, but equally important are testing to see where your levels of ferritin, B12, vitamin D3, magnesium, folate, copper and zinc lie because if any of these are low, no matter what thyroid hormone replacement you decide to take at the end of the day will be able to be fully utilised in the cells until whatever is low has been supplemented. Unfortunately, I have no experience of Thyrogold so cannot help you there. Guest guest
The dr. on the webinar told people to get a lymphocyte panel to see how to treat their autoimmune disease, but no one here will order it and it is so expensive. It is suppose to tell whether you have more suppressor or T cell problems. Has any one on the group been helped by getting this panel? thanks very much for all your help so far. I will have the other minerals tested for. > > Dear Barbara > > What particular reason have you to be considering taking a lymphocyte panel? > It does appear hugely complicated.
