Guest guest
Hi Mandy, thanks again. No - it's definitely not the calcium causing my poor health - I've only just started the calcium and I've been bedbound now for almost 2 years. It's not fatigue that is my problem either - I just can't do anything because the cortisol isn't getting through. Phew - can't write anymore for now! )Have a good Sunday - horrible weather here. And my back is worse today.Best AlisonP.S. I think I'll build myself up to ask GP for some more tests
Guest guest
Hi I certainly don’t think that the high dose of calcium is helping with the fatigue issue – I also don’t believe that HC should be used by upping dosage at will – it will completely mess up your adrenals – unless of course you are an ’s patient where you have to micro dose as required. I stick with the same dose of HC and adjust everything else around this – I will not up the dose as I don’t believe this will help my body at all – unless I was having an operation or something. If you keep upping the dose of HC then you will be depleting your body in other components – such as oestrogen testosterone and Vitamin A and D etc. HC is a life saver but is not to be used in such a way unless you are ’s and absolutely NO cortisol is being produced. If you are feeling no better with what you are doing at the moment then you need to look at what you are doing because it isn’t working. Hope this helps Best wishes Mandy

Guest guest
Hello Mandy Thanks for explaining about this I'm a bit concerned for myself on this issue. You see, back in March/April last year when I had quite a lot of tests done, I found I was passing out a lot of calcium in my urine, but had low ionised calcium. The day before, I had started HC at 17.5mg I think (not advisable before a test, I know, but i couldn't go any longer without it). Though also, my Vitamin D was low at the time. Total Calcium 9.6 mg/dL 8.4-10.4 Geïoniseerd calcium - 38.6 mg/L 40-52 Erytrocytair Magnesium 5.29 mg/dl 4.0-6.0 25-Hydroxy-Vitamin D - 22.6 ng/mL 30.0-60 I guess this test is out of date now, and perhaps I need to do another one. URINALYSIS Iodine 156 µg/L 100-199 Iodine 254 µg/24h 170-280 Urinary volume (24h) 1630 mL/24h 600-2500 Creatinine 192 mg/dL Creatinine + 3.13 g/24h 1.0-2.2 Sodium + 291.8 mEq/24h 100-220 Potassium 106.0 mEq/24h 35-128 Calcium 26.7 mg/dL Calcium + 435.2 mg/24H 140-280 Magnesium 12.7 mg/dL Magnesium + 207.0 mg/24h 60-120 Phosphorus + 1.4 g/24h 0.4-0.8 as a safeguard, as i don't eat much dairy or vegetables, i've been taking nature's own calcium supplements, which are made out of seaweed, and give 50% of rda of calcium. grateful for any thoughts best regards chris > > Hi > > > > Yes one would think that wouldn't they as that has been drummed into us - > but I don't agree - whilst steroids will upset the mineral balance an
Guest guest
Hi I pass out magnesium and calcium all the time – it isn’t that relevant just means you are either supplementing too much or eating a lot of the mineral. You levels seem more than adequate to me – you are at the highest of the range of most if not all those items tested. I don’t know what you take every day and not sure what your issues are but you don’t look like you have to supplement much – I wish my levels were like yours. Best wishes Mandy
