Guest guest
I have finally managed to get a referral to a recommended NHS endo in another area (my local one was a waste of time!) I am currently taking Nutri Thyroid and wondered if anyone else has switched from that to regular Thyroxine and if they managed it ok? Also, the hospital has asked for full thyroid blood test.Is it best to stop the Nutri Thyroid before the test? Thanks again for everyone's support on this forum. It really is a lifeline! Guest guest
If you are going to see a new endo, he will be prescribing and dosing according to your blood tests. If you take the nutri thyroid he will not know the real state of your thyroid. He will think you are better than you really are, and dose accordingly. If you are intending not to take the nutri any more, then you will more than likely end up under dosed. It might be a good idea to tell him that you have been taking nutri thyroid and how long before the test you stopped taking it.
