Guest guest
Hi I'm new to the group, was diagnosed with Hashimotos in 2006 and have managed my condition with T4 and nutrimed natural thyroid as a supplement. My thyroid function fluctuates so I have had to learn to monitor through symptoms as the blood tests are too irregular to be of much use. Just wondering if anyone else has casein sensitive enteropathy? It's a form of coeliac disease, but to cows milk protein rather than gluten. There's no blood test for specific antibodies as there is with coeliac disease, but it is apparently just as common but rarely diagnosed. It caused me a lot of problems with diarrhoea, dry eyes and mouth, and fatigue for several years before I cut milk out and all those symptoms resolved. Until then the drs thought I had sjogrens syndrome. I would be interested in knowing if this rings any bells with any other group members. Thanks Jackie x
