Guest guest
I have been on T3 for about 8 months now - now on 62 1/2 mcg. At first was over the moon with the improvement in a lot of my 30ish symptoms. This was after 16 years on T4 and becoming really ill with temps of 33 - 35. I saw Dr P and am taking all the supplements he suggested - plus D3, B vits. Over the last month or so, with horror, some of my symptoms are coming back. Have always felt slugged in the mornings and am no better now. My adrenal test results in June 2011 were Sample 1 10.6 (12 - 22) L Sample 2 5.1 (5.0 - 9.0) Sample 3 4.2 (3.0 - 7.0) Sample 4 2.8 (1.0 - 3.0) DHEA mean .35 (0.10 - 0.50) DHEA/Cortisol ratio 1.52 (0.4 - 2.0) I have ordered another Genova test and will post results when its done. My NHS endo is quite good, does not mind that I started treating myself and now precribes T3. We had a long talk about why there was no choice of meds, why no testing for deficiences of vits/mins/adrenals etc. He pointed out he had tested my cortisol levels(just pm blood)and said usually its obvious if someone has adrenal deficiency. (Probably on a slab in the mortuary!) However he did write a request for some blood tests, please will some one tell me if they are ok levels.
