It says " processed to remove its thyroxine " . Maybe the intern took this to mean

that the T4 only had been removed. However, it most likely means all the

hormones have been removed otherwise it would need a prescription.

It looks as though it is some kind of nutritional support for the thyroid. It's

up to you whether you think you need it. It certainly won't be a sufficient

substitute if you really need T3.

it has T3 in it but not thyroxine T4. so that is news to me. iwas on it for

years before going on thyroid hormne and was told it had no thryoid hormone of

any kind. can anyone tell me what the truth is and what benefit does this

product do if any if you need T3. does it really help repair the thyroid gland.?

I don't have any experience to share with Thyrotrophin PMG but if you go to the Standard Process website they have a product list with detail information sheets on each one.Sorry,can't do the link.Anyway it says it contains Bovine extract processed to remove it's thyroxine.It also mentions that the extract appears to neutralise the circulating antibodies.

I have been trying to get hold of the stuff albeit unsuccessfully for the past year.As I am in the UK it is impossible to obtain because it is only available through Chiropractors and Naturopaths in the US as I understand.Someone had a bottle on EBAY afew months back and I still didn't manage to get it That is how keen I am to try it!!!

I have heard really good things about it.Some folks who have had no symptom relief on thyroid meds have said that the Thyro PMG started to alleviate symptoms straight away.You said you had been on it for years.Are you concerned that it contains bovine? Did it help you at all?

i took it for several years while my TSH was a 5 or less. then it shot up to 110

and i was told i needed thyroid hormone. so i went on erfa. i don't want to take

pork, but the thytrophin doesn't seem to have any thyroid hormone in it and i

need it because my thryoid is partially destroyed.. have you heard you can get

off of meds with this. i don't know if that is true if your thyroid is partially

destroyed. let me know if you find anything else out.

that is exactly what i thought. thanks. it is supposed to build your thyroid but

when i was on it, my tsh shot up to 110. i had to go on meds. i am on erfa now

and wanted to switch to thyro gold , not wanting to use pork. i can't get anyone

to tell me how to make the transition because it has 25 mcg. of T3 in one

capsule. i take only 12 mcg. of T3 at one time. do you know of any cow products

that are standardized close to erfa that you could use instead of the erfa?
