Guest guest
Two years, ten endo appointments, seven different doctors and a frightening lack of knowledge, and a 22lb weight gain in l0 months on T3, making me overweight for the first time in my life. The last straw came two weeks ago when the latest so-called consultant told me he could not interpret the result of my serum iron test and I would have to ask someone else. He also said that if I had had a ferritin test done he would not have been able to interpret that either as ferritin was outside his `area of expertise'. I've booked a double appointment with my GP tomorrow to talk things through and then I'll be contacting some of the doctors on the TPA list to see if they can help me. I have also ordered some Thiroyd from Amazon. I'm clearly undermedicated, but the NHS won't give me any more T3 because I'm on a big dose already allegedly, so giving the Thiroyd a try can't hurt, can it?
