Guest guest
Speaking of God complex try this The arrogant donkeys, once they had had it proven beyond doubt that it reduced deaths in surgery by 40% FORTY PERCENT!! still took over 12 months to introduce the one page checklist. Like pilots before they take off, you know, Name of patient - Fred Bloggs 1 Jan 1950 CHECK, Site - Appendectomy CHECK Spare oxygen cylinder CHECK etc etc. The paper was published in the top journal NEJM, they then argued that it didn't apply to them in UK for a year or so, finally the minister insisted (in other words he actually managed for once), and even then they got a 12 month delay while they contemplated how they could introduce this what radical change, insult, I don't know. I'd have thought 1 I'd probably have thought it up for myself in the first place (really, I like Quality Assurance, sorry) 2 Anyway, if I had read the article on Monday I'd have it up and running on Tuesday How many lives did they knowingly waste in that time. Gawd, I don't know what needs to be done to change attitudes. I'm inclined to think competition might do something towards creating team spirit, and I'm certain that should make the high ups more humble. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/health/7825780.stm Steve > > Hi All > This was an artical from the Glasgow daily Record. > When i sent a letter to The GMC in support of Dr Skinner i Accused the BTF of having a God complex. as they couldn't be wrong.
