Guest guest
Hi Sue > Have been doing really well and have been on 2 grains for two weeks. My temps are stable, 36.3 am and pm and 36.5 mid afternoon. What were you on before 2 grains? and how long were you on it for? if you were on 1.5 before, maybe you need less - maybe 1.75 grains? > Yesterday and today, I have felt an odd flutter(skipped or double heart beat). Other than that I feel really good and only have a small slum at lunchtime. The flutters were at about 10am and then when went to bed at about 10.30pm. Only had either one or two odd beats and pulse other than that is a steady between 60 and 65. did you have these symptoms when you increased before or before you were on thyroid at all? how do you dose your thyroid? all in the morning, or split dose? do you feel better in the afternoon because of taking more thyroid? what do you eat for lunch? > I don't think GP did all other tests I asked for and my adrenal test was ok. Could it be something else I am lacking as I don't really want to go backward unless I have to. I'm wondering if you went up a bit too much too quickly? chris

Yes, i went from 1.5 to 2 and no probs for 2 weeks. I have just been wondering if the temperature (weather) change might have made a difference. > did you have these symptoms when you increased before or before you were on thyroid at all? I didn't have any flutters when I increased before. I did have a few flutters when I originally went onto thyroxine and Dr S said that it might have been my body saying thank you :-). it always happened at about 2.30 pm then. > how do you dose your thyroid? all in the morning, or split dose? do you feel better in the afternoon because of taking more thyroid? what do you eat for lunch? I do Circadian dose, so take 1.5 grains at 5am and then 1/2 grain at about 2pm. I do feel better after the afternoon dose. I usually have a salad for lunch as am trying to lose weight. > I'm wondering if you went up a bit too much too quickly? It is possible even though I thought I had been careful. I was wondering about magnesium, as I thought I read lack of it could cause flutters. I take 200mcgs when I get up at about 9am. Should I reduce do you think? Thanks again Sue
