Hi there

Welcome to the forum!

What's your name so we know what to call you please? :-)

Please remember to just put the initials of any doctors or professors, instead

of the full name. I've edited it for you this time...

Best regards

Chris

my GPs. For 23 years I have been continually had thyroid test which came back

normal! I went to an endocrinologist for weight because I cannot lose any.

Welcome to the forum Roadhog.

I am also in Coventry and I know at least one other member of this forum who has

endured the appalling level of care in the area, both from GPs and the endos at

UHCW.

300mcg is a whopping dose and suggests there may be conversion issues. Do you

have some test results (with ranges) that you can put up for us to chew over?

That's always a good starting point and we can't say much without those figures.

I am happy for you to contact me direct if you would like to discuss GPs in the

Coventry area.

symathetic and will give me prescriptions for levothyroxine and maybe ERFA (as

Armour is not being imported into this country anymore)

PS My GP sent off a referral for an ultrasound scan of my thyroid on 5 March.

I have rung Radiology at UHCW this afternoon and they say that if it is not

referred as `urgent', the appointment will be between 4 and 6 weeks from the

date of the referral.

Mine is apparently not urgent…

Hello, My name is , so new didnt think of putting my name on!!! Apparently

according to dr S it is related to my weight, nd my dose will come down if I can

ever shift it. I havent got a clue about my results because the endo at UCHW

hasnt told anyone what they were!! Luckily Dr S did actually treat me on

symptoms alone otherwise I would still be living on the couch because I just had

no energy to do anything. I must admit 90% of my symptoms are now gone. I have

got to have another blood test but my GP only tests for TSH so think I will make

an appointment to request other tests as well. I have contact Eliot and

been told it is 6-8 weeks because apparently mine is not urgent either, even

though I have trouble swallowing, and can feel the lump all the time with a

noticeable Goitre, but am not urgent!!! I will email you thank you xxx
